Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Melaka – PKNM, was established under the State Development Corporation Enactment, with the role and primary responsibility are to develop and promote Malacca in four main fields of industry; Tourism, Housing, Business and Commerce. The main role of this PKNM implemented based on the direction of the National Development Policy to continue the goal of raising living standards and to restructure society through the development of a balanced and fair distribution. PKNM is a statutory body responsible for the realization of the Dasar Ekonomi Baru (DEB), particularly Bumiputera participation.
