Asian Caucus of Invention Associations or ACIA in short, was established on 24th April 2009 under the Hong Kong’s Companies Ordinance (Chapter 32). ACIA is a federation of societies and organisations located in the Asian region that are related to design, invention, innovation, and technology.

ACIA was founded by Academician Emeritus Prof Dr. S.H. Ong and Mr. Myocho Kan, the President and Vice President respectively of the Malaysian Invention and Design Society (MINDS). Founding Member countries of ACIA include Arab Saudi, India, Korea and Taiwan ROC.
