Kementerian Dalam Negeri Malaysia (KDN)

Kementerian Dalam Negeri – KDN, (Ministry of Home Affairs) is a Malaysian government ministry that was developed since 1951 during the British colonial ruler in the country. KDN in charge of domestic affairs such as immigration, civil defence and public matters. The Ministry of Home Affairs is made up of the following government organisations:

Immigration and Checkpoints Authority

  • Malaysian Department of Immigration
  • National Registration Department

Public Relations and Public Affairs

  • Royal Malaysian Police
  • Registrar of Societies Malaysia
  • Film Screening Board
  • National Anti-drug Agency
  • Malaysian National Printing Ltd.

Internal Defence and Rescue

  • Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (formerly the Internal Security Act 1960)
  • Malaysian Civil Defence Department:
    • Polis Diraja Malaysia – PDRM, (Royal Malaysian Police)
    • Bomba & Penyelamat Malaysia, (Malaysia Fire and Rescue Department)
    • Ministry of Health Malaysia
  • Jabatan Penjara Malaysia, (Malaysian Prison Department)
  • Ikatan Relawan Rakyat Malaysia – RELA, (Citizen Volunteer Team)
