Konsortium Baja Nasional KBN logo

Konsortium Baja Nasional Sdn Bhd (KBN) was formed in February 2007, as a private entity fully owned by the Malaysian government.Initially was incorporated on 22 February 2007 and activated by 16 January 2009.Initial paid up capital: RM1 million (US$300,000).

Its shareholders mainly consist of plantations and agriculture agencies under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development, Malaysia.Its main role is to import fertilizers directly from major world suppliers and since inception, KBN had sourced various fertilizers such as nitrogen, phosphate and potash from producers and world traders.
