The Tun Hussein Onn National Eye Hospital (THONEH), history started in 1986 when it was launched and inspired by the late YAB Tun Hussein Onn (the 3rd Malaysian’s Prime Minister). The Hospital started as an eyes specialist hospital in the country and today THONEH becomes the center of education, training, research and development (R&D) in Optometrists and Ophthalmic.
