Science and Technology Research Institute for Defence – STRIDE is a department of the Ministry of Defence to manage and implement defense R&D activities as well as providing support for S&T to the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM).

STRIDE has existed since 40 years ago, is directly involved in all aspects of defense science and technology, covering land, sea and air. The Institute also provides technical services such as development and validation of defense equipment specifications, technical testing and evaluation, investigation, advisory services, consulting, etc.
