PECIPTA 2011 aims to exhibit a diverse range of products, inventions and innovations from institutions of higher learning in Malaysia and abroad. It aspires to orchestrate opportunities and networking for researchers and inventors. Two categories will be contested in PECIPTA 2011, which are:

1. Inventions and creative works for competition that have NOT won any medals previously at National or International level competitions
2. Inventions and creative works for competition that have previously won medals at National or International level competitions in 2009 and 2010

Researchers or inventors who are interested to participate in PECIPTA 2011 may submit their products through their respective Research Management Centres (RMCs).
