Federal Land Development Authority, FELDA (Lembaga Kemajuan Tanah Persekutuan) was established on 1 July 1956 under the Land Development Ordinance 1956.  One of its functions as allocated under the Act (Amendment 1991) are to develop, facilitate and implement development, management and economic, social, agricultural, settlement,industrial and commercial services as well as other related activities in areas where FELDA has been granted the authority to implement land development projects or in areas owned by FELDA and its companies.
