Sayangi Malaysiaku Malaysia Bersih is Merdeka 2019 theme logo & motto officially released by the Multimedia Minister of Malaysia. This year theme still retain the official logo from last year’s Merdeka 2018 theme, just adding the word Malaysia Bersih, as to express the culture of integrity and rejecting corruption campaign. The minister hoped that the theme would instill and ignite the value of integrity and being of strong character among Malaysians.
The statement from the ministry continued that, the song Malaysia Bersih (A Clean Malaysia) will be the main song for the celebrations but Kita Punya Malaysia (Our Malaysia) will also be sung to fire up the spirit of patriotism, apart from sowing the culture of integrity and rejecting corruption. The celebration of Merdeka 2019 (Independent Day 2019), or National Day of Malaysia this year, will be held in Putrajaya, on 31st August 2019 and the Malaysia Day will be held in Kuching, Sarawak on the 16th September 2019.
