Traditionally, Islamic Tourism is associated with religious activities such as hajj and umrah. As the years passed, it developed to a much larger dimension as people go beyond exploring other Islamic destinations. Officially launched on 16 March 2009, Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC) is to promote activities, events, experience or indulgence, undertaken in a state of travel that is Islamically compliant, with the purpose to interface within an Islamic framework, with one or all of the following; history, arts, culture, heritage, way of life, economy, health, education and any other human interests.
