MeSTI – ‘Makanan Selamat Tanggungjawab Industri’ (Food Safety is the Industry’s Responsibility), is a food safety program by the Ministry of Health with the objective to put in place a system for the maintenance of food hygiene and process control which includes food safety assurance and food traceability. Through this program, MeSTI certification logo is introduced as food safety compliance and being a safety standard for micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia to be a major producer and exporter of food products by facilitating food safety and quality compliance.
