
Asia e University (AeU) is a flexible, international university set in Asia, by Asians for Asia under the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD). Its establishment is an initiative of Malaysia, as the prime mover for e-education, with the support of 31 ACD Member Countries as confirmed at the Islamabad 2005 and Doha 2006 ACD Ministerial Meetings.

The UNITAR PINTAR Campus is now officially known as University of Management and Technology. The renaming plan began to take shape early this year and finally approved by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) on 4th of July 2011. The new name allows greater clarity and inclusiveness of the institution which in short will be known as UMTECH ( pronounced uem-tech ). UMTECH is a comprehensive dual mode university which runs conventional and distance education programmes concurrently. The University teaches and researches as a dual mode university with double options of learning approaches – students can study through full-time on-campus or through distance learning. The programme structure is designed to run full-time, part-time and distance learning modes to cater for secondary school leavers and working adults.

Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) or Indonesia University of Education is one of the oldest universities in Indonesia. It was founded under the name of Perguruan Tinggi Pendidikan Guru (PTPG) or Teachers Education College on October 24, 1954 based on the Decree of Minister of Education, Pedagogy, and Culture No. 38742/Kab. dated September 1, 1954. It was then revised by the Decree No. 40719/s dated July 6, 1956 indicating the establishment of three PTPGs in three areas in Indonesia, i.e., PTPG Batusangkar (West Sumatera), PTPG Malang (East Java), and PTPG Bandung (West Java).
