Politeknik Sultan Azlan Shah (PSAS) started its operation on 1st Mac 2002 with the name Politeknik Tanjong Malim (PTM). It is the 15th polytechnic registered by the Ministry of Education Malaysia. Later, PTM was moved to their own campus in Behrang, Perak with their latest facilities and infrastructures, PTM offered attractive educational environment and conducive. PTM officially launched on 7 Mei 2005 by DYMM The Sultan of Perak and the name was changed to Politeknik Sultan Azlan Shah (PSAS).
